The poem is always a new creation and aspires to a transcendence that is beyond telling . . .

Coming soon in an anthology called Stone Renga:

The Earth is a stone cocktail: iron, oxygen,
a touch of magnesium and sulfur, some nickel

hurtling us to forever, through 100 billion galaxies
to claim our home in the universe’s magic.

Knowing we carry the Earth’s rocky essence within us
just as the Earth-stone holds us within an embrace,

we pray our heart’s center is not 80 percent iron, but soft stone
like pearly mica, or fiery opal, to be made and molded,
able to embrace change.

Some of my poems appear in the following anthologies and journals.
